Abstract

For revealing the effect of newtown development on changes of the surrounding rural, Seisin Newtown and 144 cmmunities of West District of Kobe were chosen as the survey area, and annual changes in distribution patterns of agricultural structure and living environment were analyzed with principal component analysis and quantification theory type III method. The results showed that Newtown development provides a convenient environment for the surrounding rural area, and has promoted agricultural productivity due to related rural development projects.
