Abstract

The study aims to substantiate the need for the introduction of electronic simulators into the process of professional foreign-language competence formation among non-linguistic students. The paper analyses the notion of electronic simulators, describes the tasks that can be solved through their use in the field of education, in particular in the process of foreign language teaching at non-linguistic university. Scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that it determines the indicators for the effectiveness of using electronic simulators in foreign language teaching at non-linguistic university; namely, it identifies the motivational, educational and reflexive components of the process of foreign language teaching at non-linguistic university with the use of electronic simulators. As a result, it has been proved that the introduction of electronic simulators into the process of foreign language teaching at non-linguistic universities significantly enhances the formation of components of students’ professional foreign-language competence.
