Abstract

This article examines some features of the procedural status of an expert in Russian legislation, provides examples of regulatory regulation of certain aspects of forensic expertise, notes the role of alternative examinations in the process of presenting evidence in a case, and also suggests the need to improve the methodology of certain types of examinations and their legal regulation.
