Abstract
The article contains an overview of the main translation textbooks that are used in the training of future translators at universities. The author examines the role of the Chinese language in the modern world, the requirements for students in Chinese translation programs, and also highlights the requirements for future translators, defines various types of educational materials in the training of translators, which topics are covered during training and on the basis of which topics initial translation skills are formed. The article describes the content of several textbooks of socio-political translation of the Chinese language and textbooks of economic translation, their advantages and disadvantages, for which levels of study these educational materials are suitable. The analysis of textbooks and manuals includes an overview of the topics of educational materials, the content of the material itself, the compliance of exercises with specified requirements, and the consistency of the material provided.
