Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the functions and prosodic features of ‘joengmal’ and ‘jinjja’ in spoken language corpus(TV drama speech corpus). ‘Joengmal’ and ‘jinjja’ have the meaning of ‘truth without falsehood’ realized as nouns or adverbs, and also realized with a discourse markers with a discourse functions. Functions of discourse markers ‘joengmal’ and ‘jinjja’ are ‘emphasis(with speaker’s negative manner)’, ‘gap-filler’. Unlike nouns and adverbs, discourse markers that performs these functions have salient prosodic features in the position in utterance, prosidic boundary, tonal patterns, duration, pause and F0 difference between the minimum value and the maximum value in end syllable.
