Abstract
В статье предпринята попытка проанализировать социально-правовую сущность понятий «война» и «вооруженный конфликт», рассматривается проблема соотношения этих понятий, прослежена эволюция их применения в международном праве. Делается вывод что понятие «войны» следует отличать от «вооруженного конфликта», который представляет собой более широкое понятие, включающее в себя все виды столкновений противоборствующих сторон.
