Abstract

Application of artificial intelligence (AI) in public administration is a particularly relevant topic in a booming digi-tal economy, as this resource has enormous potential to optimize and automate government processes. The article examines the opportunities and challenges of applying AI in the context of public administration. The main emphasis is on the prospects of increasing the efficiency and transparency of government processes by integrating AI into them. The authors characterize the different types and areas of its application in the digital economy, highlighting key advantages and reflecting successful cases. Major challenges and problems asso-ciated with the application of AI in public administration are analyzed, including ethical, legal aspects, and cy-bersecurity issues. In addition, the work presents forecasts and scenarios for the development of the situation, also provides recommendations for the integration of artificial intelligence in public administration processes. The results of the study can serve as a basis for the formation of strategies for digital transformation in public administration and informed decision-making on the application of AI in it.
