Abstract
In this work, a comparative study of how the epic "Korugly" is reflected in the Kazakh and Turkish versions. At the heart of the article is a version of "Korugly" sung by Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev. Other versions of this epic were considered on the basis of Mahir's hymn. It was also based on the opinions of well-known scholars in the field of folklore. The similarities with the main features of the poem were studied comparatively. An analysis was made of why the epic differed in Central Asia and Anatolia.
