Abstract

The improvement of product quality is one of the priorities of national industry development. In particular, products manufactured by defense companies affect national security. The high performance of the quality management system is the basis for quality improvement of defense and civilian products and for the increase of enterprises competitiveness. Today managers of many Russian enterprises realize that a well-designed quality management system of an enterprise is not only an opportunity to receive an appropriate certificate, but also a real tool to create a long-term competitive advantage due to the improvement of product quality and business processes. The quality management system formed on the approach is an inherent unit of contemporary management. In its turn, the application of the approach in the quality management system is required by the standards. The article observes the issue of the model designing of the quality management system. The nature and content of the category process have been presented and the conclusions about the subject of interest have been given based on the definition analysis. Approaches to the classification of processes have been studied. The differences between business processes and the processes of the quality management system have been made based on the author’s point of view. The article presents the research results of the Russian companies experience in the model designing of the quality management system and highlights some shortcomings of their practice. The processes, that managers do not pay enough attention to, have been defined. The purpose of this study is to elaborate a conceptual model of the quality management system processes for industrial enterprises. The role and structure of processes providing the implementation of the quality management are defined in this model. The author gives her own approach to the quality management system classification. The decomposition of the processes that provide the implementation of the quality management based on the Shewhart – Deming cycle (PDCA) has been given. The content analysis of national and foreign literature, the analysis of quality management system standards, as well as the analysis of enterprises documentation related to a quality management, the interviewing of specialists of national industrial enterprises are the main research methods of this research. The presented conceptual approach to the identification of quality management system processes of industrial enterprises complies with the requirements of the GOST R ISO-9001 standard and can be adapted and applied by specialists in the sphere of quality management for the purpose of designing and development of quality management system for industrial enterprises, including the defense industry complex.
