Abstract

This collection presents the main works of Budimir G. Tukumtsev (1927–2021), a Soviet and Russian scientist, sociologist, humanist and educator. Collected articles and materials by B.G. Tukumtsev are characterized not only by his significant scientific achievements, but also by organizational efforts to establish the Research Institute of Social Technologies at Samara University during the Samara period of his life and work and by important research results during the St. Petersburg period of his life and work at the Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A wide range of research tasks that B.G. Tukumtsev executed is presented in the materials divided into six thematic sections. The appendix to the collection contains interviews with B.G. Tukumtsev, memories that reveal the extent and variety of his interests, and unexpected qualities of the scientist's personality. The wide palette of scientific topics of the collection allows it to be addressed to various categories of readers: university professors, graduate and undergraduate students, research sociologists along with anyone interested in the problems of the sociology of work, the sociology of management, the sociology of organizations, the sociology of innovation and the sociology of culture.
