Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of nursing students’ Clinical Competence. The study design was a descriptive survey and questionnaires were collected from 146 nursing students, from March 2nd to April 30, 2018. The data analysis was analyzed with ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson`s correlation coefficient and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Incivility, Coping, Clinical Practice Stress and Clinical Competence according to general and work related characteristics was significantly different in the gender, age, religion, health status. Nursing students’ Clinical Competence was positively correlated with Coping among nursing students. The factors influence nursing students’ Clinical Competence were Problem-solving focused coping(β=.520, p<.001), Incivility(β=-.199, p<.01) and Avoiding focused coping(β=-.169, p<.05). These variables explained 24.1% of the nursing students’ Clinical Competence. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program available on Incivility, Coping, Clinical Practice Stress, Clinical Competence through the educating program.
