Abstract
The article substantiates the expediency and developed the author's approach to adapting the matrix development technology for use in the mechanism of anti-crisis management of small businesses. The relevance is determined by the demand in the current crisis situation caused by the pandemic, as well as by the need to design anti-crisis strategies adequate to the economic situation. A method is proposed for choosing strategies for overcoming the crisis (growth strategies, concentration strategies, asset reduction strategies, deferred growth strategies) taking into account the state of small businesses (divergent to the crisis; resistant to crisis phenomena; adaptive; temporarily limited; externally supported; true bankruptcy). The value of the proposed matrix approach is the focus on assessing the prospects for renewal in the long term after the crisis while maintaining control over the current situation and using alternative strategies.
