Abstract

This study was designed to analyze the relationship between the relationship between golf participants’ positive emotion, passion, and self-esteem. The study subjects were selected among the amateur golf participants in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Inchun region. The survey tools consisted of questionnaires about golf, positive emotion, passion, and self-esteem and personal characteristics of the subjects. The survey used the questionnaire form of internet portal Naver. Data was collected final 248 players who have agreed to their data being used for the purpose of this research from November 1st to the 15th, 2022. For the collected data, frequency analysis, reliability verification, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural model analysis using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs. The results of this study were as follows. First, amateur golf participants’ positive emotion had a positive effect on obsessive passion and harmonious passion. Second, golf participants’ positive emotion had a positive effect on self-esteem Third, golf participants’ obsessive passion had a no significant effect on self-esteem. but, golf participants’ harmonious passion had a positive effect on self-esteem.
