Abstract
Hydrogel based on 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (2HEA) and acrylic acid (AA) was synthesized with various ratios of compositions respectively using ammonium persulfate as free radical initiator, N, N-methylene-bis-acrylamide as a crosslinking agent. The kinetics swelling of a poly(2HEA-AA) hydrogel in distilled water, ethyl alcohol and different drugs (lincomycin and gentamicin) solutions at room temperature were determined.
