Abstract

Periorbital necrotizing fasciitis is a rare soft tissue infection that occurs mainly as a result of trauma in susceptible patients with immunocompromised or chronic diseases. We present a clinical case of preseptal periorbital necrotizing fasciitis that occurred in a patient after an injury. The clinic, diagnostic tactics, stages of surgical treatment, conservative treatment with a step-by-step photo demonstration are described in detail. As a result of the applied treatment, the patient achieved a satisfactory anatomical and functional state of the eyelids, visual functions were preserved.
