Educational research competence is the basis for the formation of professional competence. The modern higher education of Ukraine should focus on the training of competitive graduates who can independently develop career and demonstrate great achievements in the professional activity. Effective functioning of this technology is possible only in research universities, where teachers work with students together while studying the methodology of conducting research. It stimulates the motivation for scientific activity, contributes to the development of critical thinking, and self-reflection. The main components of research studying are lessons, research and monitoring. Pedagogical conditions of the functioning of the technology include the introduction of non-typical methods of scientific research, interdisciplinary approach, the transformation of the content component of the curriculum, based on the results of relevant modern research. The system of integration of scientific and educational activities is provided through three stages of the educational process: studying the methodology of conducting research in the specialty and working with the scientific literature; independent information searching with the compilation of a research plan, hypothesis and modeling of further activities; self-supporting research realization. Key words: scientific activity, research studying, research competence, interdisciplinary approach, reflection approach.
