Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to explore of the global venture capital market and to reveal of its development trends. Methodology. To achieve this goal used methods: statistical analysis, forecasting method autoregression model, the calculation of the coefficient of variation, Spearman rank correlation coefficient and linear Pearson correlation coefficient. Results. The analysis of the development of the global venture capital market for the years 2007-2015 executed. The coefficients of variation of the volume of venture capital investment and the number of venture capital deals are designed. According to the calculations, variations in the volume of venture capital investment rate is 11.8%, which is almost 2.1 times higher than the value of the coefficient of variation in the number of venture capital deals in the global market of venture capital investments (5.7%). It means: the actual data volume of venture capital investment and the number of venture capital deals are homogeneous collections, because the values of the coefficients of variation of these indices is less than 33%. A characteristic feature of these indicators is a low level of variability and minor fluctuations, that is, a tendency even venture investments of innovative development in the world. To determine the closeness of the connection between the amount of capital raised in the IPO, and the number of transactions Spearman rank correlation coefficient is calculated, as well as the strength of correlation between the volume of investment and the number of transactions in the global market transactions MA indirect action: development of competitive capital markets for small companies, expanding the range of products offered by financial institutions, the development of long-term sources of capital, to simplify the formation of venture capital funds procedure, stimulating interaction between large and small enterprises and financial institutions, promotion of entrepreneurship.
