Abstract

Background Currently, selection of nondestructive testing (NDT) methods for the survey of buildings and constructions is conducted by the experts only on the basis of their own experience, because in regulatory documents there are no list of mandatory methods. To avoid the subjectivity and possible errors in сreating of the survey program for buildings and constructions the formal evaluation and ranging of non-destructive testing methods is offered. Aims and Objectives Justification of the NDT methods application for buildings and constructions taking into account the technical, methodological and organizational applicability in order to increase the effectiveness of surveys by increasing the number of mandatory NDT methods. Methods Statistical anlysis, questionnaire survey of QHSE specialists, the method of expert estimates. Results There were conducted the ranging of NDT methods for the buildings and constructions survey. There were established the necessity of review of regulatory documents increasing the number of mandatory NDT methods. Conclusion There were separated the methods of nondestructive testing, the implementation of which are mandatory, and the other NDT methods, which are recommended as an additional option - to clarify the dimensions and characteristics of the identified specific defects and damage.
