Abstract
Modern enterprise port activity is a business entity that performs the work of port, and provides port services. For businesses of port activity should be classified as stevedoring, terminal companies, warehouses, etc. Risk management becomes increasingly important today for enterprises of port activity. Risk management can be described as a set of methods, techniques and measures that allow a certain degree of risk events to predict and take measures to eliminate or reduce the negative effects of such events. The most important part of qualitative risk analysis is their classification. The paper proposes the following classification of the risks associated with the work of port operations companies: economic risks, political risk, technical and technological risks, orga-nizational and management risks, risks of force majeure, legal risks. Nature of risks is characterized. The classification of the risks associated with the work of port activities (stevedoring companies, terminal operators, traditional ports) is constructed. Tax risks are considered, their function, the causes. Special attention is paid to market risks and tax risk in activities of seaports in Ukraine.
