Abstract

We consider a systematic approach to the environmental safety assessment of chemical crop protection process with the application of information technologies. We investigate the necessity of software implementation for the agricultural industry to solve problems of environmental safety. The “man-machine-environment” approach is required to establish mutual controlled and uncontrolled factors of a decision-making process for environmental safety maintenance of agricultural industry technologies. The proposed software system equipped with sensors has data collection, processing and analysis components that allow to estimate the effectiveness of chemicals spraying devices and to create study results databases. Components for analysis and visualization are distinctive features of the proposed software system for chemicals spraying estimation based on environmental safety criteria among other similar software products.
