Abstract
The article is devoted to the modern problems of setting the boundaries of zones with special conditions of use of the territory. The contradictions of legal regulation and the consequences arising from the incorrect interpretation of land legislation on the example of the Baikal natural area, namely the Central ecological zone, the buffer ecological zone and the ecological zone of atmospheric influence are considered. The necessity of finding a solution to this problem is substantiated. On the basis of the study, the author proposes a set of actions: the definition of specific Executive authorities responsible for the decision to set the boundaries of zones with special conditions of use of the territory; the establishment of rules for entering such zones in the register of real estate and the form of documents containing information about the boundaries of zones; fixing the natural boundaries of zones with special conditions of use of the territory.
