Abstract
The research objective includes analysing specificity of history representation in “History of the Russian State” by Boris Akunin. Scientific originality of the paper lies in the fact that the researchers for the first time consider Boris Akunin’s perception of the Russian history, his historiosophical conception. The findings indicate that the conception of history developed in “History of the Russian State” (previously fragmentary represented in “Fandorin” cycle and “Aristonomia”) corresponds with the writer’s approach - “Westernism” of a special type: emphasizing enlightenment values, Akunin preserves a critical attitude to their actual socio-political manifestations in the purely Russian context.
