Abstract

At present, the well-being of the region is assessed rather fragmentarily and mainly by objective indicators without considering the subjective component (main actors, discursive practices, local/regional identity), which significantly reduces the quality of decisions made on the basis of this assessment and the effectiveness of administration in general. The article is focused on the analysis of the possibilities of determining the specifics of fractal properties and the design of social space in the unity of objective and subjective indicators of social well-being, which will allow for a more accurate comparative analysis of territories of different scales, respond flexibly to external and internal threats and ensure sustainable development of territories.
