Abstract

In scientific quests of modern scholars of philosophy, psychology, political science and sociology increasingly alarming conclusions about the observed sharp change in the settings, neglecting tradition of political choice in favor antysystemnosti (antysotsialnosti), chaos, and appears full degradation. Some of these processes are associated with the rapid development of modern internet technology, continuous technological progress, openness and access to social networks, absolutely every possibility to be able to satisfy their hedonistic need to express their opinion on an issue. The scientific novelty of the research is the need to analyze the origins of those patterns of human behavior that are constructed on the basis of magical thinking as a form of manifestation of the collective unconscious, passed down from generation to generation in beliefs, legends, fairy tales, stereotypes, archetypes, superstitions. The aim of the article is to form a holistic view of magical thinking through the prism of constructing ideas about the role of the archetype and superstitions in its formation. The study raised the following tasks: outline the concept of magical thinking; analyze the main components of magical thinking; outline the main characteristics of the concept of superstition, identify their main components; define the concept of archetype and its role in the behavior of the modern voter; undertake a comprehensive analysis of the formation magical thinking and its basic components.Theoretical basis. The main provisions of the study of the phenomenon of magical thinking are reflected in the works of S. Freud, J. Fraser, L. Levi-Bruhl, K. Levi-Strauss and others. The study used mainly general research methods: analysis and synthesis, in the study of the concept of magical thinking and its main components, the integration of previously selected parts into a single whole; inductions and deductions - through the prism of observation of the environment and manifestations of the electorate's behavior, its ideas, features of the implementation of electoral choice and decision-making; abstraction, through the prism of the study of magical thinking as an indicator of the collective unconscious, its main features, which are modified under the influence of the external environment. The main conclusions are set out in the main theses: first - society. The extent to which external conditions provide our basic needs for existence significantly affects our tendency to believe in irrational promises or a "good magician" who will solve all our problems with a wave of a magic wand. Secondly – the collective unconscious. This factor is almost impossible to measure, because working with its elements is extremely difficult due to their diversity and richness; third – individual psychological characteristics. In addition to the collective unconscious, our behavior in many ways depends on how we allow ourselves to develop. The prospect of further research is to study the personal characteristics of the modern Ukrainian voter depending on the level of his magical thinking.
