Abstract

In this article the main directions for increasing the operational reliability of tension joints for wheel pair elements of railway rolling stock have been given. Particular attention has been paid to such joints as “axis – wheel hub”, “axis – inner rings of axis bearings”, “wheel center – tire”. A number of technical and technological solutions have been proposed aimed at improving the technology for repair work and control of tension joints. These solutions ensure the cost reduction of repair work, as well as the increase in the safety of train traffic.
