Abstract

The paper aims to identify the linguocultural potential of contextual cases of synonymy, antonymy and hyponymy and the degree of their influence on modelling the cultural space of a literary text. The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that it applies the theory of paradigmatic connection between lexical units to the analysis of culturally significant extralinguistic information, which forms cultural space of a literary text. As a result, the study clarifies the dependence of the cultural space verbalized in a literary text on the complex of linguistic units constituting the text, determines the sequence of actions when modelling cultural space for the purpose of linguocultural analysis. The research has been carried out on the material of the German language.
