The article considers the concept of administrative discretion as the fundamental principle of the activities of state bodies in decision-making. It describes the sphere of application of administrative discretion and its significance. Criteria and limitations for its application are highlighted to clarify the concept, emphasizing the difference between administrative discretion and administrative arbitrariness. The article also analyzes various opinions on this legal phenomenon.
