Abstract

The textbook delves into both theoretical and practical aspects of environmental monitoring, the specifics of agroecological monitoring, as well as the use of satellite information and geoinformation technologies in the monitoring system of land, water, and plant resources in the agrosphere. Special attention is given to the impact of climate change on vegetation and the productivity of agroecosystems. The textbook examines the methods of classification of specific agricultural landscape structural components and pertinent satellite indicators for assessing the condition of vegetation, land and water resources, as well as the degradation and desertification processes within agricultural landscapes. Specific examples of their usage in the agroecological monitoring system are provided. The textbook is tailored to meet the needs of agricultural and environmental protection students, postgraduates, specialists, civil servants, and professionals working in management and production structures.
