Abstract

This article discusses the question of chronological indicators of the late “catacomb” stage of the late Sarmatian culture and findings from the Volga and Kama region. Among the important indicators there are amber mushroom-shaped bead-pendants, small strongly profiled two-piece garter bow fibulae and two-piece bent garter fibulae. The available artefacts of the Sarmatian population are scanty already as far as in the Volga region but episodically occur in the Kama region where they constitute a basis for the chronology of the local antiquities.
