Abstract

This study investigates the effect of social support and reseilince of athletes on exercise stress. The results are as follows. First, we examined the effect of social support of athletes on resilience. It was found that coach support had a positive effect on life satisfaction, optimism and relationship. Friend support had a positive effect on sympathy ability, relationship, and communication. Second, the effect of social support of athletes on exercise stress was examined. Coach support showed negative effect son athlete`s environmental exercise stress and exercise stress during training. Third, the effects of resilience of athletes on exercise stress were examined. Life satisfaction and optimism showed negative effects on environmental exercise stress, exercise stress during training, and exercise stress during competition. Causal analysis had a positive effect on environmental stress and exercise stress except exercise stress during the race. Communication had negative effect on exercise stress during competition except environmental exercise stress and exercise stress during training.
