Abstract
The development of road freight transportation in the field of transport and logistics services in Russia is considered in the context of constant changes in the world economy. An analysis was carried out of the factors influencing the volume of cargo turnover and the need to develop cross-border interaction with neighboring countries, as well as expand its own cargo base. The low level of competitiveness of domestic transport and logistics companies compared to foreign companies operating in Russia is noted, and the dynamics of updating road freight transport is also reflected. Active implementation of modern digital technologies and electronic data ex-change in the field of road freight transportation on the Russian market
