Abstract
In this article are presented main geotourist resources of protected areas in Zakarpattia region – national nature parks “Synevir”, “Uzhanian” і “Zacharovany Krai”, landscape parks «Prytysiansky» and «Syniak», and Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. Geotourist resources are considered as a diversity of manifestations of the geological structure and relief (mountain ranges and peaks, fragments of river valleys, outcrops of rocks and rocky remnants, glacial forms (cirque, moraines), alpine lakes, raised bog, numerous springs (including mineral waters), waterfalls (cascade and one-stage), consequences of exogenous and endogenous processes etc. Every researched nature protection territory represents a certain geomorphological region of the Ukrainian Carpathians: NNP «Synevir» represents mountain range Gorgany in Vododilno-Verhovynsky Carpathians; Uzhanian NNP – fragments of Vododilny middlemountain range (Vododilno-Verhovynsky Carpathians) and Polonynsky range in Polonynsko-Chornohirsky Carpathians; NNP «Zacharovany Krai» – central part of Vyhorlat-Hutynsky volcanic range of Ukrainian Carpathians, and LP «Syniak» – part of mountain massif Syniak of the same range; LP «Prytysiansky» – the most valuable natural territories of Prytysenska alluvial lowland plain (part of Chop-Mukachivska plain); Carpathian Biosphere Reserve is represented in six separate massifes (Chornohirsky, Svydovetsky, Marmarosky, Kuzijsky, Uholsko-Shyrokoluzansky, Valley of narcissuses) and two separate from Vyhorlat-Hutynsky volcanic range by mountains (Chorna and Julivska), which is lokated at altitudes from 180 to 2061 m above sea level in the western, central and eastern parts of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The most famous geological and geomorphological objects are tourist attractions and are part of ecotourist paths and routes that operate on the described nature protection territories, near some objects recreation areas and observation ground are arranged. There is a lack of proper information and educational provision of these objects, the creation of specialized geotourist routes and appropriate infrastructure in the protected nature reserves for turning them into a geotourist attractions. In general, all researched nature protection territories of the Zakarpattia region have significant geotourist resources and all prerequisites for the development of geotourism. Key words: geotourism, geotourist resources, geotourist attractions, nature protection territories, Zakarpattia region, tourist infrastructure, informational and educational support.
