Abstract

The results of the research are analyzed in the paper which aim is to determine the reasons for peer conflicts in school according to the perceptions of students and homeroom teachers. The sample of this research comprises students of elementary and secondary schools and homeroom teachers from the territory of the city of Nis. Various sources of conflicts among peers are perceived. Behavior in the digital environment is a more frequent reason of peer conflicts among elementary school students, according to the perceptions of homeroom teachers. Differences in opinions, non-acceptance of differences as sources of peer conflicts are the most prevalent according to the perceptions of students, and homeroom teachers of high school students. Various forms of insults dominate as the reasons of peer conflicts among elementary school students, which are also the perceptions of homeroom teachers.
