Abstract

The purpose of this study was to understand what influence Peer Relationship has on School Life Adjustment, Pro-social Behavior of adolescents participation in after-school sport activities. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which Peer Relationship Scale as identified by Furmam(1995), translated by Koo(2000) & Kim(1996), School Life Adjustment Scale as amended and supplemented by Park(2000), Prosocial Behavior Scale as amended and supplemented by Yang(1991). 340 subjects were selected from the adolescents participation in after-school sport activities in the seoul·gyungki by the stratified cluster sampling method. Among these selected subjects, 309 responded, and data analyses consisted of employing frequency analysis, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Multiple correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis using SPSS/PC+ version 14.0. The following results were obtained: 1. It was found that peer relationship of adolescents participation in sports activities has an influence on school life adjustment. 2. It was found that peer relationship of adolescents participation in sports activities has an influence on prosocial behavior. 3. It was found that school life adjustment of adolescents participation in sports activities has an influence on pro-social behavior.
