Abstract

The article examines the basic communicative means used by the Socialist Revolutionary Party and the Popular Socialist Party to influence a target social group - the Russian working class - at the beginning of the XX century. It is shown that both the parties paid special attention to popularizing their ideological views carefully choosing vocabulary and style when communicating with common people. They cooperated actively with peasant organizations, tried to follow ethical principles in politics, which allowed them to earn public confidence.
