Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the subjective oral health status and interest in oral health for elementary school students and parents in Mongolia, and to find out the influence of bidirectional oral health. For two weeks from February 2020, 300 questionnaires were distributed to parents of elementary schools in Kanul, Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, and 294 of them were used for final analysis. Subjects responded to self-report questionnaires such as demographic characteristics and oral health characteristics. It was found that the bidirectional influence of the subjective oral health status of children and parents (guardians) and interest in oral health had a statistically significant effect on each other.
