Abstract

The paper considers the main innovations of the Law of Ukraine “On Vocational Before Higher Education”, adopted in June 2019. It distinguishes the student-oriented learning as a modern approach to organizing the educational process in the system of vocational before higher education. The authors outline the main principles of organizing the educational process on the basis of student-centered approach in the institutions of vocational before higher education. The article describes the characteristics of students’ activity as autonomous and responsible subjects of the educational process. It analyses the role of the educational environment for qualitative training of specialists oriented on meeting the needs and interests of applicants for vocational before higher education. It also defines the principles of organizing the educational environment that provides the psychological and comfortable atmosphere at the institutions of vocational before higher education. The authors state that the unity of theory and practice in the educational process of colleges and technical schools as institutions of vocational before higher education is achieved by organizing a practice oriented educational process, different types of student practice training, as well as the dual form of education. They highlight the aspects of organizing the educational process on the basis of mutual respect and partnership that involves the subject-subject interaction of teachers and students and reveals the student-oriented approach.
