Abstract
Operation of the Fugen nuclear power station ended in March 2003, and the preparations for decommissioning have started. Fugen has been preparing for the project, and various evaluations and studies are underway, including evaluation of radioactive waste inventory, improvement of decontamination for decommissioning, development of a tritium decontamination and decommissioning engineering support system, etc. Activities to reduce the occupational radioactivity dosage during the decommissioning process are also discussed.
