Abstract
The article discusses current issues in the development of statistics in modern Russia. Improving the quality of statistical data plays an important role in the process of digitalization and the use of big data, helping society and governments make informed decisions and manage the situation effectively. By providing the necessary information, statistics make it possible to analyze and forecast various aspects of the economy, social sphere, healthcare, education and other areas of life. Qualitative statistical data helps assess the effectiveness of government programs and activities, identify problem areas and develop measures to solve them.
