Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship among adolescent tennis players’ passion & trust in coach, sport commitment, and sport behavior.BR Method: The participants for this study were 400 adolescent tennis players who participated in the 2018 National Tennis Championship. A survey was conducted to carry out this study. The survey in the study included question items, such as harmonious passion, obsessive passion, trust in coach, sport commitment and sport behavior. Several statistical methods including exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients and corelation analysis were conducted by SPSS Win Version 220 program. Moreover, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model using AMOS 20 program were performed in order to identify the research hypotheses. The significant level of hypothesis verification is set-up as α=.05.BR Results: Results show as follows: First, harmonious passion was shown to have a significant & static effect on trust in coach, sport commitment and sport behavior. Second, obsessive passion was shown to have a significant & negative effect on trust in coach, sport commitment and sport behavior. Third, trust of coach had a positive effect on the sport commitment and sport behavior.BR Conclusion: Based on the findings of the current study, it was confirmed that adolescent tennis players’ passion for tennis had a significant role in trust in coach, sport commitment and sport behavior.
