Abstract
The article is devoted to the number of problems connected with the development of the North Caucasus. According to the current information and historical experience, the place and the role of ideology, education, science and culture in identification and integration processes in the region are emphasized in this article. Great attention is paid to the identification and analysis of the political, economic and sociocultural conditions and premises of the identity of the Russian civilization’s formation in the North Caucasus. These conditions include: centralization of power; formation of a system of social regulation and legal culture of population; consecutive state national policy; economic and socio-cultural modernization; importance of Russian basic values, images, symbols, worldviews in the spheres of culture, education and youth policy. All the provisions of article unite the idea of Russian civilizational identity as essential principles for integration processes in the region.
