Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of volunteer activity participation motivation on social capital, focusing on the mediating effect of volunteer activity satisfaction amonguniversity students who participated in volunteer activities. The subjects of this study were 444university students who participated in volunteer activities. For data analysis, frequency analysis,correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 21.0 program. As a result of the analysis, first, there was a significant positive correlation between universitystudents' motivation to participate in volunteer activity, satisfaction with volunteer activity, andsocial capital. Second, it was found that university students' volunteer activity satisfaction had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between volunteer activity participation motivationand social capital. This study is meaningful in that it provides basic data in setting a way toimprove social capital through volunteer activities in university social volunteer education and toset a direction for revitalization of social volunteer.
