Abstract
تعد منطقة الدراسة جزء من السهل الرسوبي , التي تكونت نتيجة انحسار مياه البحر ( الخليج العربي )،على اثر تراكم الغرين القادم مع مياه نهري دجلة والفرات والوديان المنحدره من الحدود العراقية الإيرانية , وتضم منطقة الدراسة تكاوين جيولوجية تعود الى الفترة الحديثة لعصر المايوسين , والتي تتضمن تكوين انجانة والمقدادية وباي حسن ،اذ تغطي قسم من هذه التكاوين بشكل غير متوافق بترسبات العصر الرباعي , اما مناخ منطقة الدراسة فيمتاز بكونه بارد وجاف شتاء وصيف طويل وجاف مع وجود فصلين انتقاليين هما الربيع والخريف .
