Abstract
This article examines the effect of the introduction of digital platforms into economic systems. The rationale is given that they are not only the result of innovative development, but also its catalyst. Various types of digital platforms and the impact they have on the economy are considered. The world experience in the development of platform technologies is presented. Today, special attention is paid in Russia to the development of services provided through various digital platforms. Therefore, it is necessary to consider them as an integral part of the national economy and people’s lives.
