Abstract

The authors analyzed the distance learning tools used in primary school using theoretical and empirical research methods. They identified effective distance learning tools and pedagogical conditions for the mathematical competence’s development in primary school children. The use of distance learning tools in mathematics lessons contributes to a faster and clearer explanation of educational material in mathematics, pupils’ interest in the subject, creative and critical thinking development, spatial imagination. It is effective to use the following distance learning tools for the mathematical competence’s development in primary school children: for video conferences – online services ZOOM, GoogleMeet, MSTeams, Skype; for live broadcast – YouTube, Facebook, Instagram; for video editing – VideoPad, iMovie, YouCut, InShot, Camtasia Studio, Sony Vegas Pro 10, VideoPad, FilmoraGo; for sharing the educational materials – Google ClassRoom, «New knowledge», «My class»; to diversify the work forms on mathematics lessons – LearningApps, Genially, Padlet, Mural, Jamboard.google; to test knowledge – testers Kahoot, LearningApps, Google Forms, etc. It is determined that the pedagogical conditions for the effective mathematical competence’s formation in primary school children using distance learning tools are the primary school teachers’ awareness of their need; understanding that the main task is to encourage primary school children to learn independently, not just to evaluate them using distance learning tools in a study process.
