Abstract

When evaluating the effect of the probiotic supplement Gallobact-F, consisting of three strains of typical lactobacilli, on the growth and development of three-hybrid piglets-weaners (Landrace × Yorkshire × Duroc), a significant (P ≤ 0.05) increase in live weight was noted as at 50 days of age weaners, and at the end of the experiment - at 80 days of age. Thus, in the groups re-ceiving 0.5 and 0.7 % probiotic supplements, the average live weight of 80-day-old piglets exceeded the control values by almost 15%. The analysis of the exterior profile showed that the animals corre-sponded to the general patterns of ontogenesis for the meat (bacon) type of pigs. At the same time, piglets receiving 0.5 and 0.7 % of the probiotic supplement Gallobact-F showed an improvement in their conformation assessment and an increase in the level of natural resistance. Thus, the level of lysozyme and bactericidal activity significantly (P ≤ 0.05) exceeded the indicator of the control group by 6.3–7.7 % and 6.5–7.4 %. There was also a significant increase in phagocytic activity, phagocytic index, phagocytic number and phagocytic capacity.
