Abstract
The paper aims to provide a theoretical analysis of “interdisciplinarity” conception within the framework of the integrative approach to forming technical students’ professional culture and to outline prospects for its practical realization. The article considers the modern tendency towards interdisciplinarity in domestic and foreign methodology, proposes a chronological classification of interdisciplinary relations. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author provides a theoretical justification of the modern conception of interdisciplinarity, reveals pedagogical conditions of professional culture formation, proposes ways for realization of the interdisciplinary approach in technical education. The conclusion is made that interdisciplinarity is a basis of the integrative approach to forming future engineers’ professional culture.
