Abstract

The article touched upon the problem of formation the conceptual knowledge about the struggle as a way of representation the English language picture of the world. Cognitive-frame approach to the concept allowed a new way to reveal the mental unit of knowledge, reflected in in the minds of the British. Frame model of the concept “struggle” allows to compare language tools, which reflect the mental unit of knowledge, with cognitive categories that emerged as a result of understanding by native English speakers the national picture of the world..
