Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find an effective management strategy of players by identifying the influence of behavioral regulation of college and general Taekwondo players on self - management ability and achievement goal orientation. The subjects of this study were sampled 239 Taekwondo athletes from universities and general teams in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Jeonnam and North Jeolla provinces. Multiple regression analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 statistical program. The following conclusions were obtained through this process. First, the behavioral regulation of Taekwondo players had a significant effect on self - management ability. Second, the behavioral regulation of Taekwondo athletes has a significant effect on achievement goal orientation. Third, Taekwondo athletes’ self - management ability had a significant effect on achievement goal orientation. Based on the results of this study, the behavioral regulation of Taekwondo players strengthens self - management ability and achievement goal orientation, and self - management ability is an important mediator related to various psychological variables inherent in athletes.m as basic data.
