Abstract

Objectives This study aims to examine the Influence of interpersonal stress on job satisfaction and turnover intention for kindergarten teachers. To achieve the research aim, this study set the following research questions.
 Methods The subjects were 230 kindergarten teachers working in public and private kindergarten in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and a survey was conducted. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS24.0 program, t disposition, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson multiple regression analysis.
 Results First, there were significant differences in interpersonal stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention according to the general background of kindergaten teachers. Second, looking at the correlation between interpersonal stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of kindergaten teachers, there was a negative correlation between interpersonal stress and job satisfaction, and a positive correlation between interpersonal stress and turnover intention. There was a negative correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention. Third, it was found that the interpersonal stress of kindergaten teachers had a negative effect on job satisfaction and a positive effect on turnover intention.
 Conclusions Interpersonal stress of kindergaten teachers affects job satisfaction and turnover intention of kindergaten teachers. Considering that interpersonal stress that occurs in the relationship with the principal has a major influence, this study investigated the interpersonal stress of kindergaten teachers. This suggests that continuous education for the director is necessary so that the kindergaten teacher can perform duties at the kindergaten education institution with confidence and stability by showing the desired leadership.
